Created at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Dendro focuses on providing researchers with a collaborative, structured and standards-compliant research data management platform. Dendro aims to support researchers in their daily data management activities, allowing users to describe their data using domain-specific ontologies, promoting research data integration in the Semantic Web. Research funders are increasingly requiring that grant applicants provide a detailed data management plan (DMP) as a part of a research proposal. The DMP is peer-reviewed and it is used for evaluation purposes.A data management plan is a formal document that describes how the data will be handled during a project and after its conclusion.
